Surface-Related Multiples Elimination for Waterborne GPR Data

چکیده
Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) is a well-respected, effective, and efficient geophysical technique. However, for underwater engineering detection archaeology, the measured B-scan profiles typically contain surface-related multiple waves, which can reduce signal to noise ratio interfere with interpretation of results. SRME feedback iteration method based on wave equation, frequently utilized in marine seismic explorations but very rarely GPR detection. To fill this gap, we applied suppress multiples that appear images. When compared effectiveness horizontal layered model undulating interface model, found high match rate between predicted real-world multiples. In addition, addition Gaussian random level 4% maximum amplitude profile stratified yielded satisfactory suppression Finally, section actual archaeological images achieve suppression, more effectively weaken inhibit Both numerical simulations field data show highly suitable interpreting waterborne data, accurate be obtained from after suppression.

Migration of surface-related multiples: tests on the Sigsbee2B dataset
We present a theory to generate pseudo-primary shot gathers from multiple and primary reflections by performing a surface-consistent cross-correlation. The estimated pseudoprimaries exhibit the same kinematics as the original dataset with few transformation artifacts. We demonstrate that pseudo-primaries can accurately estimate missing traces as long as the gaps are within the acquisition sprea...
متن کاملSharp deconvolution in elimination of multiples
The problem of multiple suppression is of interest up to now despite of its long-standing. A new approach for attenuation of multiples in a "locally 1-D" environment is suggested, which is illustrated here with well-controlled processing of synthetic data. The method is based on a rigorous forward model and a non-Wiener lter design in the context of predictive deconvolution. Due to the linearit...
متن کاملCrosscorrelogram Migration of Free-Surface Multiples in CDP Data
Free-surface multiples can be considered to be signal and migrated by the crosscorrelogram migration method (Schuster and Rickett, 2000; Sheng, 2000). By merging the Kirchhoff and crosscorrelogram migration images, the true reflectors can be reinforced and the artifacts can be attenuated. For simple flat layered models direct multiplication of the Kirchhoff and crosscorrelogram migration images...
متن کاملParallelisation of surface-related multiple elimination
This paper presents the first parallelisation of the surface-related multiple elimination method. This method is used in the seismic industry to eliminate multiple data from recorded seismic data. Both data-parallel and control-parallel implementation schemes are investigated. A realisation of the data-parallel implementation on the SSP/Application, a symmetric multi-processor DEC-Alpha system ...
متن کاملIncorporating free-surface multiples in Marchenko imaging
Imagine placing a receiver at any location in the Earth and recording the response at that location to sources on the surface. In such a world, we could place receivers around our reservoir to better image the reservoir and understand its properties. Realistically, this is not a feasible approach for understanding the subsurface. Here, we present an alternative and realizable approach to obtain...
